The following is just a small sample of the great feedback we receive from many of our happy customers...
Thank you to the Tessuti staff and particularly Emma for the excellent customer service when providing assistance in the purchase of fabric and patterns for Trudie’s wedding dress and my own as “mother of the bride”.

From our Chatswood shop...
On Saturday 12th January I entered your store at Chatswood feeling very despondent, as I had been doing the rounds looking for a dress to wear to my daughter’s wedding in May.
The staff in your store were kind, helpful and very considerate. I am extremely happy and grateful that I made the trip to Chatswood. the store was quite busy but the girls there were great and I always think the boss should know when customers receive such friendly service.
I now have my mind at rest as the material and pattern are on order and I can now concentrate on the next bit of the wedding plans. During my time in your store, I witnessed the girls helping a lady who had come in and put down her bags to look at the pattern books and she had lost one of the bags.
The girls were very patient and tactful and the bag was discovered abscured by a cushion. Customer placated, peace and quite restored and all with the utmost tact and discretion. Do you know what treasures your staff are?

From an urgent online inquiry...
Thank you very much – in fact Emma called me today…
… This is the first internet site that has responded so quickly, so thanks and a special thanks to Emma.

One benefit of using a REAL fabric shop, like Tessuti’s, is that the staff know how to do things and can encourage you to try new things. I bought some wonderful cotton prints from an online shop for quilting fabrics and then I popped into Tessuti’s to buy zips for the skirts I was planning. The helpful staff encouraged me to use invisible zips which I have not tried before. I’m really pleased with the results, I put some photos on my Flickr site

I would just like to pass on a favourable comment on the service I received whilst shopping yesterday at the Surry Hills store.
I arrived in the morning after a long train journey and browsed for quite a while. As I was unable to make a decision (too great a choice) and also wanted to check out some other fabric places in Sydney, one of your staff members (sorry I didn’t get her name) most helpfully suggested that I photograph on my phone the fabrics I was considering, so that I could have a record to compare on my journey and for reference if I need to phone an order through from home (Newcastle).
I did compare around Sydney city, and returned to Tessuti at 5pm. The girls were all so lovely and helpful, staying open a little later than usual to complete my order.
The fabrics are SENSATIONAL, and so too was the service.
PS LOVE the blog.
From our Surry Hills shop...
You are a special, and such a clever girl. I will look good and feel great in these natural fibres.
I am blessed to have found someone who is prepared to go to so much trouble. It is always such a pleasure to hear from you.
We also have a quite a few fashion/design students frequent our fabric stores...
Love, love, love the range of fabrics at Tessuti. There’s always something perfect for the latest project I’m working on.

Oh Tessuti, how I love you!
I’ve been told that Tessuti means fabric in Italian, but it is also the name of a fabbo dress fabric shop here in Sydney, so the title of this post is true on both levels. They sell the most wonderful fabrics sourced from places such as Italy and France, and have a large and wonderful range.
